About Michael Keller

Michael grew up spending most of his vacations at family homes in both North and South Lake Tahoe. He gained a love for the beauty of the area and the many year round activities. After receiving an associate’s degree at Lake Tahoe Community College Michael transferred to the University of California at Santa Cruz where he completed a bachelor’s degree in Business Management Economics.

Michael’s background includes working as a real estate photographer, website manager, and then as a property manager overseeing an inventory of 270+ home at the largest vacation rental firm in South Lake Tahoe. Michael earned his CA sales license in the fall of 2002 and worked briefly in Santa Cruz before moving back home to Tahoe in 2003. After initially working as an agent and then a broker with Century 21, Michael left and started Keller Properties in early 2006.

In contrast to many part time agents, Michael is very active in the local real estate market and community. Over the past several years, he has become one of the top performing agents in the area. In 2015, with over $19 million in sales volume, Michael Keller was the #1 individual broker in the entire South Tahoe MLS. Other 2015 achievement’s included representing parties in the 2 highest priced sales out of roughly 2000 transaction sides in the STMLS. Michael’s main areas of focus include representing buyers and sellers of vacation rental properties, new construction homes, as well as investors buying, selling and renting properties. Other real estate activities include rehabbing and selling existing properties as well as building new homes for sale.

Michael’s knowledge of economics, investment, and the local market are valuable assets for his clients who want to either maximize their return on a sale or make an educated purchase.
